I heard this the other day;

Britain shouldn't become a republic because we should keep the country out of the hands of politicians. We don't want President Blair or President Thatcher.

But, you can vote them out of office. You can't with Queen Elizabeth of King Charles.

Former Conservative prime minister Baroness Thatcher is in 10 Downing Street for a meeting with Gordon Brown.

Is she going to be apart of the government of all the talents? *rolls eyes* Why was she invited? I am struggling to understand why a Labour Prime Minister wants to meet her.

Apparently, she is going to have dinner with the Chancellor of the Exchequers wife and the First Lady too.

This story makes me feel sick...

EU defends animal rights

The European Parliament has just voted in support of a motion calling for action to end all primate testing in the European Union.

This is great news to those, like myself, who campaign for animal rights and banning of animal testing.

Sadly, our own government in the United Kingdom has been slow to act. Especially our former Prime Minister, Tony Blair, who supported animal testing.

Reforming the TUC

I believe its time the trade unions become more modern.

Firstly, they need to end their old fashion views on Europe and globalisation. I've never been a fan of strike action, I believe you loose the moral high ground when you take industrial action. It solves nothing and the punishment is aimed at the public, who have done nothing wrong.

The link between Labour and unions should become less formal. In the 21st Century, we don't need the common link between the two anymore.

And finally, the TUC has to support a free market economy.
